Extremely rare circa 1918 nameplate, never installed into a rail and is made of metal with a walnut wood top surface applied.
This plate was manufactured to be placed in the top rail and then sanded to the surface of the rail to expose the metal lettering. This nameplate also has a back piece of wood that has separated from the metal plate.
